Before your Session

To capture your most authentic moments during our session, it helps for us to meet and get to know one another beforehand. Meeting with you without my camera in hand allows me to listen and take in the important details of your story, which in turn allows me to create photos that represent you as you truly are. We’ll meet for coffee and spend a bit of time talking about expectations and goals for the session, as well as who you are and what makes you such an awesome person (or family) to be around! We’ll wrap up by planning a session around the people, things, and activities you enjoy most so that we can create a photo session that best represents who you are at this moment in time.

During your Session

Your enjoyment of the experience of having your photo taken is my top priority, so when our session comes around, all you need to worry about is enjoying the activities we’ve planned beforehand. Feel free to unwind, enjoying this time as a much needed break from the craziness of life. The best images I make are when my clients are just enjoying the moment and those around them!

I encourage my clients to wear the outfit that they already have in their closet that they love the most: the one they look the best in, or the one they have great memories in, or the one that just makes them feel super-confident. A photo session with me is all about documenting what your life looks like today, and that includes the things you most enjoy wearing.

I should mention that small, young people who become temporarily distraught over minor issues can make for the best photos! And your reaction to them only makes those photos better! Moments like these tell the true, honest, and beautiful story of who your family is and how you “do life” together. In those moments, look forward to photos that tell a story that you will fondly look back on and laugh when that little one is going off to college.

After your Session

After your photo session, I’ll edit your photos and we’ll set up a viewing meeting where you’ll have the opportunity to view all of the photos from your session. For this meeting we’ll get together again over coffee or another treat and we’ll spend about an hour crafting the perfect package of fine art pieces for you to display in your home. You’ll get to choose from items like albums, framed prints, or a beautifully mounted set of canvases, and I’ll provide guidance as to what pieces would work best in each area of your home.

Once I submit your print order, your art pieces are delivered to and inspected by me, and then I hand-deliver them to your home. I also offer installation services if you would like me to install your new pieces of art in your home for you.
