My Style

You know those photos that just seem to pull you in? The ones that grab you and make you feel like you’re right there, in that exact moment, feeling what the people in the photo are feeling? I think everyone has at least one or two photos of themselves like that. In my humble opinion, these are the best types of photos in existence.

I shoot in a style known as Documentary Family Photography, which basically aims to create images just like the ones I described above. I seek to create images that showcase your true, authentic self: no poses, no scripts, just you. My passion in life is to capture how your life feels at this very moment so that you can look back, years in the future, after life has changed a dozen or more times, and be reminded of the exact feeling you have today.

My Methods

In order to bring out the truest, most essential parts of your personality, I don’t use special lighting or poses. I use only the light that is naturally a part of your story, whether it’s a window or lamp light while indoors, or the sun or moonlight when outside. You’re free to move how you feel without feeling constrained to a specific position or facial expression because that’s how you live out your own story.

I design sessions around the people, environments, and activities that you love the most. Whether it’s a family board game at your house, a fun outing for cupcakes, or just you and your loved ones living your normal everyday life, I want to tell the story of all the good things about who you are right now. I truly believe that the smallest, most seemingly ordinary moments are what build the story of our lives; capturing those moments for others is what gives me joy.
